Circa 1900's HORROCKS, HERKIMER, N. Y. TYPEWRITER DESK. Antique solid desk from the Horrocks Desk Company ca. 1900. With two pull-out shelves above four wood-handled drawers. This desk also has a feature that spring-loads and locks a flat shelf for a typewriter or any office machine of the period to fit into and use, while hidden away with ease. The proportions of solid oak (with a tiger oak veneer) are massive. This desk is about as solid as they come and looks impressive. There is a decal metal label on the front that reads Horrocks.
